Friday 2 & Saturday 3 October 2026 · Messinia Chamber of Commerce, 23rd March Square, Kalamata
George Kavouras, founder of Vionix Labs, was invited to speak at the two-day AI programme "AI in Practice: From Theory to Application", on how AI can practically help the small and medium businesses of Messinia.
The programme set out to answer three questions every business has: where AI is actually worth applying, what result it can deliver, and how to introduce it in a way that strengthens both the business and the people in it.
The initiative was supported by the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, with scientific and educational delivery by AICatalyst (Artificial Intelligence Group), under the auspices of the Messinia Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the non-profit organisation Mataroa.
The Vionix Labs contribution centred on a simple point: AI is not an IT project but a business decision. It starts from one specific process that costs time or loses revenue, it gets measured, and it only expands once it has paid off.
What all four have in common: none of them requires replacing your systems. The solutions connect to what the business already runs.
For professionals not selected for the two-day programme, nine hours of remote workshops were scheduled, running every Wednesday until the end of November 2026, focused on putting AI to practical use in local businesses.
